EMS, SCADA & PV–Genset System Recovery
Already invested in a control or monitoring system that is unreliable, incomplete or unsupported? JME audits what exists, retains what is usable and defines a practical recovery, retrofit or migration path.
Recover the system. Restore confidence.
Logging or trends have stopped
We review servers, storage, drivers, communications, time stamps, tags, scaling and historian configuration.
Hybrid control is unstable
We investigate metering, CT polarity, control ownership, minimum generator loading, reverse power and operating sequences.
Original support is unavailable
Where legally and technically possible, we map the existing system, recover documentation and propose a maintainable path.
Values are missing or incorrect
Modbus settings, addressing, register types, byte order, termination, gateways and exception behaviour are checked.
New solar or BESS must be added
JME reviews the existing plant interfaces before adding new assets, controls or supervisory visibility.
No backups or usable records
We build a project-appropriate handover set covering architecture, settings, points, backups and operating notes.
Audit first. Replace only what engineering requires.
Listen
Understand the operational problem and the expected behaviour.
Inspect
Review SLD, equipment, wiring, controls, communications and evidence.
Isolate
Separate configuration, hardware, communication and process issues.
Recover
Repair, reconfigure, retrofit or migrate against an agreed scope.
Prove
Test operating modes, alarms, data logging and handover records.
Upgrade credit & reuse assessment
Existing equipment may be retained, repurposed or considered within an agreed upgrade arrangement after condition, compatibility and ownership are verified.
No mandatory recurring JME software fee
Eligible locally hosted JME solutions can be engineered without a mandatory annual JME software subscription. Third-party cloud, hosting, SIM, licences and vendor services remain separate where required.
From single-line diagram to a working control solution
JME develops project-specific single-line diagrams, control architecture and alternative integration concepts before implementation. The engineering defines how utility, generators, solar, switching, metering, communications and supervisory control should operate together—and gives the client a maintainable technical record.

Anonymised concept-stage engineering evidence. Client, site, personnel, date and reference identifiers have been removed. These diagrams demonstrate JME’s engineering workflow and are not presented as final as-built drawings.
Send us the real system before replacing equipment.
Use JME’s single engineering intake for EMS, SCADA, PV–genset, BESS and automation recovery. Share the problem first; drawings, photographs, voice notes or video can follow.
System recovery FAQs
Can JME repair a system supplied by another company?
JME can independently assess third-party systems. Recovery depends on access rights, available backups, supported interfaces, equipment condition and the agreed scope.
Must the complete system be replaced?
No. The preferred approach is to retain suitable equipment and replace only components that are failed, unsupported, inaccessible or incompatible with the required outcome.
Why does SCADA data logging stop?
Possible causes include server or storage failure, communication loss, driver issues, database limits, incorrect tags, time synchronisation problems or configuration errors. Diagnosis requires system evidence.
Why are EMS readings incorrect?
Common causes include incorrect CT ratio or polarity, phase mapping, register format, scaling, byte order, wiring, meter configuration and inconsistent engineering units.
Can JME troubleshoot PV–genset instability?
Yes. JME can review metering, reverse-power protection, minimum genset loading, inverter response, controller logic and source-transition behaviour.
Is the initial review a final diagnosis?
No. The free initial review determines the likely next step and information required. A confirmed diagnosis or quotation may require a remote session, detailed engineering review or site visit.
